Honda Heated Steering Wheel (Passport, Pilot)

I saved a considerable amount of money by purchasing the heated steering wheel from Bernardi. My local Honda dealer agreed to install the steering wheel at the standard flat rate labor charge. The dealership that installed the part questioned if my part was the correct one for my Pilot. The part number they looked up for the steering wheel was different than the one I received from Bernardi. I immediately called Bernardi. The parts person at Bernardi confirmed that I had the correct steering wheel for my 2019 Pilot. He said that Honda may have superseded the old part number with a newer number. I do not believe that my local dealer was happy with the fact that I purchased the part from another dealership. He said they would not guarantee the part because I didn't purchase it from them. (And pay full retail price!) My advice is to make sure your local dealer will install any part that is purchased from another dealership. The Honda dealers in my area are very protective of making sure that customers purchase all of their automotive products from them. The heated steering wheel installed perfectly. The steering wheel heats up in about 1 minute. A very nice accessory. The heated steering wheel was not standard equipment on our 2019 Honda Pilot Touring. Thank you Bernardi for saving us money.
