Great concept... terrible implementation. It has 6 play modes. Two of these play modes will either play all albums in random order or all music in random order and do not need the TTS software. The other four (would be useful) modes require a awful program called Text To Speech(TTS). The software still does not allow for easy use of the first 4 non-random play modes. I feel when the designers of two rock solid devices such as the Accord and the IPod decide to integrate them together, it should be a beautiful and flawless results. I was wrong and greatly disappointed. Do not purchase the Honda Music Link

FYI: As far as I can tell, all of the negative reviews here are referring to the wrong product! The reviews here referring to (or rather complaining about) the crappy TTS appear to be referring to Music Link 1.0, not Music Link 2.0; 2.0 does not use the TTS software - it plays from playlists on the iPod. Read the PDF at the "Manual" link (not the "Quick Reference Guide," which currently points to the ML 1.0 quick ref guide) above for details, or go to http://musiclink.honda.com/ and click on "Purchasing FAQs" for complete info and to compare/contrast the two systems.

I use the product in my Accord and it works well. Sound quality is great and I control the iPod from my controls on the steering wheel. Very convenient!

why cant a 2006 accord use music link 2.0? they have the same audio unit and same connector? Have anyone tried to install 2.0 on an older model?

I purchased for my 2006 Honda Pilot EX. Does not work as claimed. It played all my songs in random order. I could never find any of my playlists. This experience was terrible. After a lot of complainig to the GM of Honda Dealership I finally got it uninstalled and my money refunded. When I called the Honda Music Link customer service for other options to play my Ipod, no one could help. Don't waste your money!!! You will be sorely dissapointed!!!

I purchased this for my 06 Odyssey EX-L R&N. The interface is awful and very distracting while trying to drive. I cannot find my Audible Books anywhere on the iPod. Navigating the iPod with the HML is a nightmare. I have never been this unhappy with a purchase. I too am trying to get the dealer to uninstall and refund my money. Honda could have done much, much better!!

I made the mistake of buying this for my 2007 Odyssey. It is horrendous. It relies on this awful text-to-speech for its interface, and you can't even use the iPod's interface. I'm going to see if I can get my money back.

Total frustration and waste of money.
If I could give it zero stars I would. The iLink music adapter does not perform as advertised - it is virtually unusable. Trying to use it distracts you from driving. I finally uninstalled the software and now unplug the cable to select an album/track - also unsafe when driving.
I just purchased the iPod interface for Honda "HON MLINK1 V2X" from www.blitzsafe.com (available at BestBuy) - hopefully that will work better (so I can control the iPod via the click wheel at last!).
Honda should be ashamed to still be selling this pathetic excuse for a product.

Heard the same thing. It is nice however that some great illistrations are provided in the install instructions above that can be used for other systems on the market like the www.mp3yourcar.com or icarkits.com.

I have heard noting good about this product. Visit the Honda Ridgeline Owneres Webpage and read carefully.
