The Honda HGO-1 hypoid gear oil (GL-5 75W-85) is a high perforamce fluid made from premium components. It is specially for the transfer case of the Honda Crosstour, Pilot and Ridgeline. The Honda HGO-1 was designed to meet the now abandoned API GL-6 classification. GL-6 was an extreme gear oil classification that was largely used for the racing applications or severe service involving high-offset hypoid gears.

Extreme pressure additives to prevent damage to gears from shock loading.
Lower viscosity to help improve fuel efficiency through reduced friction.
Improved low temperature flow and easier start up viscosity.
High viscosity index (VI) to help ensure optimal performance in a wide variety of condition.
