Excellent accessory. Makes the driving position much more comfortable, especially for long stretches on the highway.
By the way, Honda dealers say it's for Automatic transmission Fits only, which is obviously not true, since the installation instructions have steps specific to Manual transmissions. I installed it on my M/T 2010 Fit myself, and it's worked out great.

Wonderful accessory - it should come standard. As far as the comment goes, regarding it not sliding forward, it's only the top piece of padding that slides forward, not the entire armrest.

I put it on 2012 base Fit. It is not difficult to do just take your time and the job will be done. It had some cushion for my right elbow and you will lean on it naturally every time you are in the car.It look a little luxury when you view it. It made you feel completed when you seat on the front. Top portion can extent forward.

I have one just like the picture installed on Fit 2011 automatic but it does not slide forward.
