I'm very happy with this XM attachment kit on my 2010 Civic EX. The antenna is placed on the upper right portion of the inside of the front windshield and is a bit big, but I actually think it looks fine. Being able to control XM with my steering wheel controls is much better than my previous Onyx unit, where I had to reach and look at the Onyx until since it was not directly in front of me. Also, the absence of wires is also much better, and the reception with this particular unit is also better than my old Onyx unit, which had an outside antenna. The only hiccup I had with installing this unit was the need for a y-adapter to plug in both the XM unit and the USB port in my center console. Multiple websites and even the installation instructions say that you do not need it unless you have an 8-disc CD changer, but you definitely do need it if you want your USB port to continue to work.

Although I'm happy to have the XM radio in my new Insight, I'm not at all happy with the way the antenna must be attached to the inside of the windsheild. It looks very much like an add-on. I was surprised that Honda engineering couldn't figure a way to use the existing antenna path and replace the existing outside antenna with one capable of receiving the XM signal so you don't have to have the unsightly black box stuck to your windsheild.
