New Look for 2015 Honda Fit
The Honda Fit received an overhaul on looks for 2015.
With its more aggressive stance, sleek side crease along the side body, and lean
but mean taillights, the Honda Fit looks better than it ever has. Keeping the sharp
sloped hood and windshield, the Fit manages to maintain the look it has been known
for while delivering a more aggressive but clean feel.
Engine Specifications of the New 2015 Honda Fit
The new 2015 Honda Fit body is not the only improvement. Under the hood, the new
2015 Honda Fit engine specifications include a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder gas sipping
workhorse, part of Honda’s new “Earth Dreams” line of DI (direct injected) more
fuel efficient engines. For a very fuel efficient 4 cylinder, this engine produces
a substantial 130 horsepower at 6500rpm and a 114 ft/lbs of torque at 4600rpm. In
simple terms, that means the 2015 Honda Fit gained an extra 13 horses and 8lbs of
torque compared to previous years.
Transmission Options for 2015 Fit
Two new transmission options are also part of the redesign. In addition to the 5-speed
automatic transmission that is offered, you will also have the option for a 6-speed
standard transmission or the new continuously variable transmission (CVT) equipped
with paddle shifters. With the improved engine performance accompanied by the Fit’s
wider wheelbase, the Honda Fit will undoubtedly provide a zippy and fun ride as
well as superior handling.
Redesigned Honda Fit Interior
The 2015 Honda Fit interior was certainly not left out during the redesign. With
a Honda Fit base model and Sports model offered, you can decide which features are
most important to you, whether it be leather seats, pushbutton start, moonroof,
or heated front seats. The new 2015 Honda Fit features more elegant materials such
as a chrome-rimmed speedometer center on the driver side dash. For the tech fans
out there, the new Honda Fit will have the option for 7-inch Display Audio touch-screen
navigation and better audio connectivity for both calls and music. There are also
rumors that the new Honda Fit will include standard Bluetooth® connectivity, rearview
camera and Expanded View Driver’s Mirror.
Honda made changes to the Fit but it still features the famous Honda Magic Seat.
The Magic Seat provides the Honda Fit with a wide variety of seating and folding
positions. This gives the new Honda Fit an absurd amount of cargo space for its
size. Need more room? Don’t worry! You also have the ability to remove the rear
seat.
2015 Honda Fit Gas Mileage
Expected to gain class-leading safety ratings with the use of its own take on Honda’s
Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE), the new Honda Fit manages to shave off
a good 57lbs. Remember less weight equals more speed, better responsiveness, and
most importantly, better gas mileage. With its revamped engine and looks, the all-new
2015 Honda Fit will have a peppy but comfortable ride with Honda estimating an EPA
gas mileage rating of a combined 36 mpg. Being 15% quicker and a considerable 10%
more fuel efficient, the all-new 2015 Honda Fit is sure to win the hearts of many.
